Mrs. Peterson

This is my 11th year teaching at Corning High, and I can honestly say that Corning High School is a wonderful place to teach. Our students are outstanding young people, full of respect, intelligence, and a promising future. Cardinal pride is evident on our campus and in our community.

I teach 1 period of English I and 5 periods of English II and enjoy helping students improve their reading, writing, speaking, and thinking skills. All students have important things to say about important topics. It is my goal to help them articulate their ideas in a compelling manner.

I encourage students to make good, ethical choices each day in and out of the classroom. I promote effort, work ethic, and gratitude for the educational opportunities we have in the U.S. It is rewarding to see students learn and grow in these areas as well.

When I'm not teaching, I enjoy sports, reading, camping, fishing, traveling, movies, and staying home. Most of all, I enjoy spending time with my husband and three children. God has blessed me abundantly with a wonderful family, friends, career, and community. :-)
