Classroom Expectations

Mrs. McBride

These classroom expectations are made with everyone’s best interest in mind. Their purpose is to create a productive environment where everyone can work together and learn. If you choose to follow these rules and put effort into this class, I am certain that you will have a positive, memorable experience this year.

1. Be in your seats and prepared to work with class materials* when the bell rings.

2. No food, drinks, or hats.

3. Respect others.

4. Use appropriate classroom behavior.

* Class materials include: Notebook and paper, pen or pencil, book

Consequence for not bringing all your materials:

                       1st Time: Warning

                       2nd Time: ISP

3rd Time: ISP + Parent contact

Possible Consequences for Not Meeting Expectations:

1. Warning

2. Teacher and student discuss and try to resolve problem

3. ISP**

4. Student-Parent-Teacher-Conference

5. Mr. Menefee

** If you do not show up for ISP, your ISP doubles, then if you still fail to show up for ISP, you will be sent to see Mr. Menefee and/or parents will be contacted. If you have a valid reason for not being able to attend ISP, communicate with me, and we will work something out.

** If you are late for ISP, your ISP does not count. Be on time.

Tardy Policy (per semester)

  • First three are free
  • Each tardy after that—one ISP served for each
